ProofProfile is operated by Silicon Islands AB (the data controller). This site publishes copyright registration data and itself collects minimal information.

What we collect

• Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) for security and abuse prevention.
• Aggregate analytics (pages visited, referrer, device/browser type) via Matomo, with the analytics script and data hosted at nimreport.com. Cookies are disabled in the tracker, so no cookies are set on your browser for analytics. No third-party ad tech, no cross-site tracking, data is not sold or shared.

Artist registry data

Artist and copyright records published at artists.proofprofile.net are derived from public registration submissions and are intentionally public and machine-readable. See that site for data source and correction requests.

Legal basis (GDPR Art. 6)

Server logs and analytics are processed under legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)): security, abuse prevention, and understanding site usage. Analytics data is aggregated and not used for advertising or profiling.

Your rights

Under GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise any of these rights.

Data retention

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security purposes, then deleted or anonymized.
